types, relationships, he's not my type, she's not my type, guys, girls, love, college Keep reading →

At one of point or another most of us have heard this line, or maybe even used it ourselves. However it seems like half of us know and are fully aware that we have a “type” and tend to stick to it the majority of the time, while the other half will deny it vehemently.

Which raises the question does everyone have a type whether they realize it or not. It could be a physical trait ( blond hair or well muscled), or a personality trait (outgoing, dominant, etc) or even just a weird quirk (think up your own example). I have a type and admit to it openly ; I’m a sucker for guys with dark hair (or the rocker look), and are super creative. These are things I purposefully look for when “hunting”. Unfortunately there is one more trait that is usually found in everyone I’m with….they have issues of some sort. So far I’ve been with Mr. Suicidal, Mr. Bipolar and Out-Of-Conrol, Mr. Dates Girls Who Emotionally Abuse Him And Is Super Clingy Because Of It, Mr. Had A Traumatizing Life and finally Mr. Divorced at 22 (at least this was not his fault).

It’s important to realize the trends in our relationships, because only then can we properly identify where the problems are stemming from. Does everyone have a type though? Comment and leave your opinions on this matter.
